A beautiful rose, beaten in the storm,
Hanging from two branches of a tree,
Dying, withering away,
Thirsting for something to drink,
A crowd gathers to watch,
Wondering why this is happening,
A man steps out, searching for something,
Kneels beside the rose,
He wonders why such a beautiful rose has to die,
A cool wind blows; a petal falls,
A thief is forgiven,
Another falls, and blows away,
A murderer is saved,
The last petal falls and the lightning strikes,
The sins of the world are blown away,
Like the petal by the wind,
The stem hangs there, with all the petals gone,
Watched by all the weepi
